Lithiums for Micro-T

Hello. I have had a Micro-T since Thanskgiving and I simply love it. It's the only car that I can actually have a lot of fun with inside the house. My Mini-Z's and other such car's are actually too big.
I have a 2 Cell 250mah lithium pack that fit's inside the Micro-T's battery tray perfectly. However, my dad is concerend it will either fry the stock ESC, or stock motor. Anybody had any experiences with this mod yet?
As my stock 150mah battery is at the end of it's life, I already purchased the hop-up 160mah battery pack for the Micro-T. This is Team Losi's very own battery for there car. I'll see how much better this pack is before doing anything with the lithium.
Also, I'm waiting to get Hot-Racing's aluminum upgrades before I make this thing too fast.
Basically, question is, will the stock ESC and motor handle the 7.4V 250mah lithium battery?

Welcome to the forums marq74,

Yes, the stock ESC will handle the 7.4v without any problems.

It's already been well reported that plenty of folks are using 2s lipos...I myself have 4x250mah cells sitting around eager for me to setup a pair of 2s packs!

As further proof, on Team Losi's own site (in their Micro-T Gallery), they have this image showing right on the ESC that it can handle 4.8v-7.2v:

There is also a picture on the box itself that shows the ESC label saying 4.8 to 7.2 volts. Of course the manual says not use LiPo cells...

From what we've seen it does handle it just fine. It also happens to run well at a low voltage so you have to be extra careful when the batts show any signs slowing and stop running. Nothing hurts LiPos more then over discharge.
