So what's everyone running?

Hey guys, what would be a good choice for a replacement battery for the propulse, to increase run time? I just wanna be able to use it for more thatn 10-15 minutes. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

So my suggestion is to be happy with the runtime you're getting, which will increase some once your new battery gets a few cycles on it, unless you want to spend additonal money after poofing a motor from forcing it to run too long and get too hot.
Ok, so what would you suggest for me?

I got a runtime of about 5 minutes after installing the dual motor setup. This is after atleast 6-7 runs on just the stock single motor setup, so the pack had some charges ran through it.

I want more than the little 1400 mAh battery, and obviously a faster charger.. the stock one sucks. I looked at www.cheapbatterypacks.com and they had a 1500 mAh setup for like $20, would it be worth it to invest in a couple of those?

The thing with battery packs is that they use a measurement rate, i.e. the amount of time they'll run (dependant on the load source of course), called mAh or mill-Amp-hours. So by going to a 1500 pack over a 1400, just doing the basic math, you're gaining about 1/14th increase in runtime by opting for the other pack... so yes, little or no difference... 100 mAh extra runtime.

Keep in mind that with most anything RC, you get what you pay for (especially when it concerns electronics).
Oh, I believe in paying for the good stuff. Believe me, there are certain things you cannot cheap out on.

I figured the dual motors would cut my battery life, but I didn't think it would be that bad. I read another guy on here say he got 10-15 minutes with the dual motors on the stock battery. I didn't think it seemed right though.

Have any suggestions for the better battery? I read a little on the Duratrax charger being good? Would it be possible to get a battery for a PP with over 3000 mAh, I read somewhere a guy got a 3300 mAh battery, but he didn't really specify.

Like you said, obviously that would provide a longer run time than the motors would like, so I would have to do the responsible thing and let them cool down, but I hate running for 10 minutes and then having to charge my batteries for 10 hours before I can run again. That's ridiculous.

I have this:

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXCLD5&P=ML

It's awesome! Let's you set everything specifically to your battery pack, and you can just wire a positive/negative to your deans and plug it right into the front to charge your pack, or any kind of connector your using

It takes about 40 minutes to charge the 1200mah pack

Thumbs up I run with a 9.6v batt from RadioShack and it Rocks!

Hi this is my first post on the forum!
I bought a 9.6v batt from RS Cat.No.23-432 http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2103206 and a quick charger Cat.No. 23.432 http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...ductId=2103207 and I have to say that my car IS FASTER.
I have not yet changed the connectors (probably Dean's) but they will fit with little effort. The added weight is a plus since the car runs smoother IMHO. I also have 2 pro-pulse batts with chargers (cat. no. 23.740) and one High Capacity batt (the orange one, cat. no.23.741). They were dirt cheap after the employee discount.

I have the Pro-B100 and I love it!

im using a 2200mah zippy lipo. link

this battery is a much more reasonable option link (requires little to no modification to fit, long runtimes, high discharge, sane voltage)
