I logged back in for the first time since April last year. Micro died when I raced around 2009 range in my area, but I still kept my micro (P3500). I had taken the ESC out of the micro to use in a Sportwerks Recoil that I raced for 1 season and that car has been sitting in storage since.
Fast forward to 2017, I decided to buy a replacement ESC for my micro to at least have it operational again. I didn't want to pickup a used micro ESC and decided to go new instead. So, I picked up a Tekin Mini Rage to mate up with the Tekin 681 brushless that I had bought for it years ago following the collapse of the micro class (never hooked up or ran). I only picked up the Tekin this past week, but I will get that installed sometime soon. Then to see if my batteries still hold some kind of charge (they are closing in on 10 years old with very few charge cycles over the past years) and then basically put it back into storage as a complete working model.
I think I still need 2 ESC's for a two different crawler projects I had been working on over the years (incomplete but have a majority of the parts). If I don't do something with those, my other option would be to just sell off the parts and save my cash versus dumping more money into something that will just sit. However, I'm still eager to finish what I had started..
