Thumbs up

Wow that Crowd Pleazer body looks wicked on the Mini Quake!

How does the MQ handle? And how are the stock tires?

You say you used a Micro RS4 pinion...isn't the pitch of the RS4 gears too high to mesh correctly with the Quake spur gear? I looked at the RS4 pinion tonight at my local shop, and it appeared way too small to work correctly.

I did however discover that a metric 48 pitch pinion will work, although the brass tube trick is needed to get it to fit on the 380 shaft.

Just want to clear the issue up before everyone starts ordering Micro RS4 pinions...

Thanks!

Correct, we do not encourage anyone to run out and buy an hpi pinion. It was noted that the gear did not fit "perfectly", nor would we support the usage, it was just the only pinion we had around that would somewhat work with the setup.

Great find on tower!

Thanks!

I've got a 13 tooth metric pinion on my truck right now, and it's a perfect fit/mesh. It'll pop a wheelie fairly easy with that gear ratio, although since 6pm tonight I've twisted off 2 outdrives. My truck is now officially dead in the water! D'OH!

Are the outdrives covered under the warranty? Can not remember off the top of my head.

What motor are you running?

Hence my statement listed above, about the parts not being available...this is what frustrates drivers!!

According to the DTX site, the DTXC7418 Universal slider shaft set is covered, but the DTXC7417 Shaft coupler set is not. From that, it's hard to tell. I'm guessing they are, but I could be wrong.

I'm running the stock motor, although I advanced the timing a bit for a little more snort.

It's hard to not be able to drive the truck now...I was just starting to get some good performance out of it with your GP1100's and the new gear ratio.

I was diggin' the pics of your truck with the CP body, so I thought I'd share a pic of my truck with the new body I made up tonight...I like the looks of the Sierra up there...

It might not be able to move right now, but it sure looks like it could crush some cars! Ha!

WE, " I " ?
United rc is much a team rather than one person, i think thats what the "we" represents to my knowledge that is. Truck looks sick man, ive taken care of that " situation we talked about last night on the road" They were turned around, ( shipped back to my place" also, any word on the server info ? THanks

URC Mini-Quake

Awsome.
Looks stunning with the white Crowd Pleaser bodyshell.
I've just bought one of these myself, so I look forward to making it look as awesome as that one of yours Jon.
