Can the stock rs4 motor handle 7.2v?

I just ordered a few 1400mah 6cell 7.2v packs from towerhobbies, as they didn't have any 5cell packs.

I was just wondering if the stock motor is ok on 7.2v?

yes it is....and you'll be surprised how much faster they are then using 5cells.

The stock motor will easily handle 6-cell packs but it will get a bit hot. Just be sure to let it cool down once in a while. They are cheap to replace anyway so giver.

You can also put a small heatsink on the motor as well, this will keep motor temps down.

It runs fine @ 7.2 volt but do not use the 13 pinion, be sure to use the more rpm and not the torque you get with one cell extra.
