Need help

I have purchased a refurbished propulse from ebay, and have heard some horror stories from contacting megatech and want to know what to do. When I give a full throttle on it it just binds up and won't run, but if I give it slow gas and increase it works fine. Sometimes I have times where I am running it and I let go of the gas and it won't stop turning or stop going foward. I don't know what it is. I am running my own custom battery pack and that is the only thing on it. It could be the 15 degree weather I think too. I have one more question and that is the auxialary jack on the receiver how would a 2 prong fan go into it since you don't usually see 3 pronged fans?

Caution!
Any Megatech product purchased from internet auction sites such as eBay or Yahoo auctions, void all warranty from Megatech.

Unfortunately, you may have found this out when you contacted Megatech!

Well, first off... welcome to the forum, musclecar201!
Let's see if I could be of any help to you?
Your issue with your vehicle may stem from a few various things.

You may be experiencing radio interference, so try to run your vehicle at a different location. If that doesn't help, you may have to try a different frequency so change the crystals. Also, your motor could be the culprit of the interference. If you look at your motor, you'll see little green capacitors. Those capacitors are there to help resist against interference by isolating ground loop. Sometimes they go bad, so try changing out your motor.

It could also be that your receiver could have gone bad, so you may have to change that.

It could even be that your esc could be faulty, so you may have to change that instead!

It's really a hit and miss in figuring out what exactly is causing your problems. What's really weird is something may be "faulty" in your vehicle, but if you were to switch it out into another vehicle, it may work just fine!?

I hope that you are able to diagnose what is causing your issues. Hopefully this didn't just add more to your confusion!

Good luck, and let me know how it goes!

Aloha,
"Erock 808"

Thanks for the welcome!

I do understand what you are saying. I am not even going to bother contacting megatech. I know what I am doing more than them! I will try a different location once the snow is gone. Also could it be the cold wether affecting the board? I highly doubt its the capicitors but will change them out too at radioshack. Also could I use an xmod controller at close range with the crystals because it is 27mhz to see if it is teh controller.

If none of this work I'll save up my pennies and buy a nice deal on (not sure if I can name websites) but its comes with a transmitter, receiver, esc, special offer 10 dollars off can't beat that when its only...67 dollars! Its better than buying this vehicle new and having ok electronics but pay the same amount and have a better vehicle, not sure if my parents will like this.
