Taking a look at the pic it seems that if you install the battery it shouldnt go anywhere.

which pic are you talking about? The pic you posted up? Too bad I don't have that battery plate nor the hardware to mount it. I can probably make my own plate out of fiber glass but I still need to find the mounting hardware for it.

Need to go through my box of electrons to see if I have the mounting posts for PCB boards, I might have some that are taller than the battery...

Edit: actually the picture looks like it is one long screw! Even easier.... and I thought I need to go out and engineer something... But notice that chassis has no upper deck?

So what do you guys suggest, mounting the servo standing up like the picture attached by Alfred or flat (lower centre of garvity) stock position.

If you can i would install it standing up so that way you have more placement options, like putting the esc right next to the servo......but then again in the end its up too you.

so far both carbon chassis has it standing up. Was thinking of making the exotek one sitting flat but may not now. Does anyone make an upper deck for servos standing up or do I need to make my own (that was my plan over x-mas anyway).

cool thanks. But don't see any upper deck for the RS4 that will fit a stand up servo.

Don't need any stock parts yet as I have a whole box of them and an unassembled kit.

Well i dont think your going to find one since it was made by exotek and that chassis is about 5 years old or less.

Novak Spy

So I've ask Team Novak some questions about the Novak Spy. There are two version of the Spy. To distinguish between the two different version is:
  • Original: Does not have any serial number on the bottom
  • New Spy: Has a serial number on the bottom

Interestingly, I asked if the original Spy can handle motors just like the Team Orion Big Block because there are reports of people frying the Spy with this motor and this was their response:

Quote:
I’ve run the original Spy with the Big Block and the Chubby Motor when they first came out. It was fine.
