repair tips

ok i have a problem with my steering servo.. where one of the wires split right close to the servo itself.. there isn't much to solder back together?
is it worth opening it up and trying to extent wires? or is it the garbage bin throw?

You have nothing to lose from opening up the servo to see if you can make a repair. Failing that, a micro servo is fairly cheap and easy to find and you can salvage the case and gears and the connector from the one you have now.

Put one on order now and try to fix the the wire.....all you have to do is use a smaller gauge wire to extend that wire only and it should be good to go.
