my wife has a sleeper with an ae vcs shock, i'll upload some pics for you. as far as the 18t shock, it would have to be a rear shock

Does adding the rear shock help that much? Or what does it improve?

It all depends on your setup.........for a 540 motor in the rear i use the 18t shock since the motor is heavy and the weight is not on the chassis all the time and kicking up in the air.
