Its here

Well, its here.... if anyone cares. I'm sure nobody does.
Well it should bring in at least a little more people to these boards. Duratrax definately has a knack for getting blindsighted newbie rc'ers.

I saw it in the new speedmart mag.
BTW, the car is $180

the "car" isn't 180, the RTR is 180, so you get everything, even a 5 cell battery pack and a charger for $180...

I don't believe that the car is really all that bad.

It shares its micro similarities but it is also different.

I never liked Duratrax really. I dunno why. I don't see the point in buying the 'new' car. Its the same design, with cheaper, weaker plastic, a bland, undetailed body, and no option of a kit. So if you want the car, you're forced to buy the $180 RTR with a bunch of stuff you're gonna replace anyway. Though $180 isn't so bad for thr RTR, especially when the micro is $200. Maybe HPI will lower their price? Maybe not.

Thumbs up Saw it in Vegas

I saw a pic of the car on this site and I don't think its acurate. I work for sullivan products and go to alot of trade shows such as the last vegas show. The trinity booth was behind my booth and it struck me as being slightly different than depicted. I remember the ESC being much smaller, it was made by Andersen. They used to make R/C aircraft power panels. The guy at the booth said the ESC was proprietory for them. It looked like the micro LRP only yellow in color and it did say Andersen on it. The chassis looked as if it could support more electronics lower on it than the pic showed. I asked when it would be out. He said shortly. That was quite some time ago. All in all I remember it as pretty nice. But for me to make a micro run fast and handle I stick to the theory of making my micro as close to a 1/12 scale in design as possible. A pan chassis, saddle pack batteries, all weight low and equally distributed, foam tires and light weight. Pretty much no stock 1/18 scale comes this way so its moot for me. Buy all aftermarket and make a competetive machine.

u, guys, if you haven't noticed, duratrax has also made a copy of the hpi micro. ! look at the duratrax.com page and find "micro street force". the trinity looks more like it than the micro. it has the same front bumper and the same wierd shocks.

www.duratrax.com and look for the "micro street force"
it even has the same crappy 3-cell bttery pack in the trinity and the duratrax!!!!!

Look in the thread-Trinity sold duratrax the design. It dosen't matter though, people can copy as much as they want, the only people worried should be hpi.
