Broke two shock towers in one evening!

Well, I broke two shock towers in one evening. I ran full wot into my Super Swamper tires on my 1:1 4x4 and it just tore the front shock tower right off! The stock plastic shock tower broke off at all four mounting tabs, which is kinda good...otherwise it woulda ripped the screws right out of the plastic bulkhead.

Guess that's what happens when you're playing around in the garage because it's raining cats and dogs for weeks!

You should have used a balloon to cover your electronics man.....one water balloon for the rx and one for the esc.

wouldnt that overheat the esc? im having thermal shutdowns on my esc with the heatsink completely bare.... its a quark 33a pro car btw....

also the batteries will still be exposed.... altho it wont overheat as badly if you put it into a baloon instead, hmm i might actually try that to waterproof my lipo battery!

If your worried about overheating the esc, there are a lot out there that are waterproof.....so that way all you have to worry about is the rx......and yeah i did forget to add the balloon to the batt as well....its late over here now, and its hard for me to think straight.lol Im only talking about brushed esc's, now as for bl esc's i dont think there is one.

Yeah, but it was REALLY MUDDY at the time. I'm kinda brave and ran it out in the street/driveway and back into the garage without balloons...no problems...lol...course I didn't run through any deep puddles.

does he use baloons as well?

i have a feeling that the mini lst needs to be geared down alot more to have that kind of fun... not to mention, a center spool!
