Micro RS4s discontinued

Im back. Last log in 2007.

I was into the MRS4s in early 2000s. Put in the speed 300 beat the hell out of the car. Went to college, found a job, got married, bought a house, started a family...

MRS4 has beenn in the closet for 9+ years and decided to try it out.

Tires have no tread, rims are curb shot, battery holds 3 min charge, glitches at full throttle..

MRS4 parts are discontinued. Limited parts on eBay.

A part of me still wants to have fun with it, but the other side of me says I'm too old for this an eBay it as a parts car.

Hope I'm not alone. It was fun when it was hot!

We used to race every Friday evening locally but alas, the micro scene has dwindled over the years and as you've found parts and very hard to find these days. Ah...the good ol days.

they sghow on his site as M18 foams but the rgular arent on the site only the m18 pro foams so just email him.

Still great car this is an exotec m03.. now brushless motors and lipo batteries goes great and for a long time
but if theres no one else to play with ur pretty much out of luck. if you can round up some guys the BRP car is excellent. its as fast as the MRS4 and as tough too $89.00 for the car incl body and tires need motor esc and radio and of course batteries check out this forum if ur interested

BRP car looks cool. Anyone have a side by side comparison to the MRS4?

Since I have no tires ony MRS4, I took my completely stock MRS4 out of the box and did some runs on the open kitchen dwarf wood floor. A lot of fun until I broke a dog bone. Completely forgot about this flaw. Looks for the golden horizon front one way and universal dOg bones and couldn't find them on eBay.

Welll if you find GH stuff dont buy it it was all crap.
HPI made the best front one way and dog bones. mine have thousands od laps on them 100% reliable the GH stuff was aluminum and would wear out dog bones in less than a season..... HOWEVER if you can only find GH stuff its better than stock.
start looking on forums like this and put an ad in the "wanted" section you just know the parts are out there you just gotta dig them out of someones tool box...

as far as side4 by side yes I have both yes i race both every wed nite.
the BRP car is turning laps that are about equal to the MRS4 some of us have gone faster with the brp some MRS4 I'm pretty sure we will be just as fast with the BRP as we have only been running it for about 3 race nites and the RS4 has been about 8 years..
thet do handle similarly but very different from an M18 both like to be pushed hard and the brp has taken some HARD shots into the wall with nothi8ng broken as of yet

924 laps last nite and the BRP has surpassed the MRS4 in lap times now... 7.43 sec /lap vs 7.60 for the MRS4

I am in the same boat. i was really into the micros and had to put them away because i was finishing up school, getting married, and buying a house. In fact i just opened the "r/c" labeled boxes to proudly display them in my garage. I still love my r/c cars but it was too much and i am currently selling my 2 kyosho mini-z. but i will never sell my vendetta or my mrs4. perhaps the old girls need some new parts in a lipo upgrade and brush less setup.
