Help! mini t 6800 needs help

hello, i am new to the mini t but have read up on them, i recently bought a mini t and upgraded just about everything, mamba 6800 package, new servo, spektrum 2.4 reciever, alum, bearings the whole shibang. I am having two problems,1. for some reason the car just wont reach top speed. as a comparison, my wife has a stock mini t with a fireball 370 brushed motor and it is just as fast if not faster. We are both using 2 cell 1250 lipos, so i dont know what the problem is. 2. my steering is backwards, right is left and left is right. I installed the servo right, but my inexperience leaves me sidelined. I am sure that someone with more experience than me will be able to solve these issues. Im sure it will be an easy fix, have any ideas?

Try swapping battery packs and running them together, to see if there's a difference. It could be a problem with the battery. Anything beyond that, you'll have to check your motor/esc setup. Also, check your pinion/spur gear mesh. If it's too tight, it will drag you down.
As far as your steering, switch your channel 1 servo reversing, and re-center your servo.

As for the servo you will need to reverse it in the radio options......since your using a computer radio it should be no problem for you......RERACING, people join a forum to ask questions, i know how easy it is to read the manual, but for some its confusing, especially if this is there first time in RC......we all had to start somewhere and what better place then an RC forum right.
