my shame :(

Well its been 2 years in the making, a fair amount of hours and love have gone into the making and this is what i ended up with

specs as follows:

AktionRC gen2 540s chassis
United RC GP2200 6 cell pack
Trinity D6 11turn
Hitec HS81 servo (i know should have bought the MG)
HPI dual link tie rod set
Novak cyclone esc purple label
Old 29mhz receiver
28 tooth pinion
ceramic ball bearings
GH front ball diff
HPI rear ball diff
GH knuckles
HPI steel universals
TRC wide soft rears
TRC wide medium fronts
AE VCS rear shock
Homers wedge shell that I completely balls'd up

I've had this made for a while now but have been to ashamed to share.

I'm now on the lookout for a new shell, hopefully already painted

thanks Alfred.

Just the shell really. the car itself is good. It's just a shame that homer spend the time making that shell, there aren't very many of them and I stuffed it up completely.

maybe the pictures don't show it very well but the paint job is shocking.

I'll have to look for a different shell though, the wedge doesn't fit properly on the 540

I believe I read on a RC crawler site that if you take brake cleaner and leave it on there for a few minutes, it should loosen up the paint enough to remove it.

However, I think the guy posted that he used "brake fluid" ... which I couldnt really see someone using to swish around a body. LOL.

If you happen to be on Rccrawler.com I can post the link to you.... or do a search for the "casper" build.

hi nerve,

thanks for the tip. unfortunately the body is absolutely toast. I'll feel much better with a new one anyway, probably end up with another modena shell,

so far i have 1 540 (gen1), 1 sleeper and 1 NT18, all with modena shells just enough room for 1 more.
