I would for one actually, becuase there are recessions.. You cant just leave when the going gets tough.
Like I said.. with gas and money.. People will want to race this class.

Its more areas of the country where its more popular. I theorize more developed areas where everything is "close" together like the east coast work for the smaller scales because of the space cost for both tracks and individuals coming. While you on the west coast have whats commonly called "urban sprawl".
It also favors the north winter areas. Not only because of indoor tracks, but because again, the distance people will want to cart huge amounts of r/c equipment is reduced.
