Using other micro motors in BRP

Will any of the other brand micro motors bolt right into the BRP SC18 ? Mine just burned up and I don't want to order a $21.00 replacement from BRP......

When i had my BRP i smoked the stock motor too. The stocker worked perfect but i wanted more power. I put in 8 cells and after about the 2nd runtime it fryed. I put in a 300 motor and plates after spending 40 dollers and i neevr liked the car as much. Just buy another stocker.

I don't think any onther micro (180 size) will bolt right in. They will work but youll have to modifiy your motor plate. Just cut horizontal slots in the other plate (the one that doesn't mount to the stock motor) that will accomodate the 180 motor mount screws.

We run our BRP cars with 300 motors and have 0 problems driving the car.

If the car is not handling as you expect, then there is something setup wise that you need to alter so that the car handles accordingly.

how's the control with these cars since they're rear wheel drive? with the 300 in there, it seems like it would be a handful

Not a handful at all if your car is set up properly.

take it from Intel

he is the BRP guru over here. they hook up quite nicely, as stated, if you have the correct setup. if not, you'll be like a dog chasing its own tail.

is it all pretty much in the rear diff? because when i take the belt off my micro it has the tendency to spin out to the left!!! but if i loosen the diff i can almost manage it.

if you run RWD in a micro, you have to completey remove that front diff, that is why it spins.

it isn't in the rear diff, its in the front.

No, only one person uses that chassis currently.

The car is actually very fast with just the stock chassis.
