Alf, go back and read.
He said that the metal one got chewed up. I think I'm going to get a metal one. Hobby etc. makes a cool one.

I found these......there the atomic durable spur gears.....i have ran a set of atomics durables on my M18 and they seem to hold up way better then the Xray spurs....

Sorry Brandon but i dont really know what material it is......but i do know that comparing the Xray spur gear to the Atomics the atomics seem stronger and not as floppy as the Xray spur gear.

k.

well, taking the stronger spur gear and boiling it to alleviate any built-in stresses or weak points will help.

also, make SURE you get a good gear mesh. if you are tearing up spurs, then either your gear mesh is bad or your motor mount is twisting/deflecting due to torque. fullforce rc makes a pretty stout motor mount if the mount is the problem.
