want an 18t

My friend jaut got an 18t and it looks very fun. His the stock RTR and its slow but looks really fun for days that I cant run my jato. I have a good idea of what i want:

rtr 18t $170
mini max motor $38

I know that there must be somthing else that I need because all together that is only $183 with the $25 towerhobbies discount! I am pretty sure that the parts that I need are some stronger aluminum suspension components. What are the parts that most fequently break. I dont want to get all these alloy parts if they are not foing to break when they are plastic. I want to spend as little money as possible. thanks in advance!!

The stock stub axles will tend to snap off even on small jumps........get the hardened versions that are on the MIP CVD's.....other then that just stock up on spur gears.....

team factory?

Would it be a good setup to get the team factory and then just add the stuff from my mrs4 to it? I have a spy, a TO bb and then i would need to buy a battery. i have plenty of transmitters to.

He plans to swap the electronics from one ride to another and back.......so it all depends what his mood is i guess on what he wants to run......thats why he plans to use velcro.

woohoo

I just got it yesterday! I have not finished the assembly but it is going to be beastly! I got a 7 cell battery pack 1200mah and a baja motor. I used my spy esc and mrs4 radio. It is supposed to be rainy all week though so i wont be able to drive it until next week. How fast will it go do you guys think?

Which one? T, B, or MT? The Baja is the exact same motor as the Big Block, only difference is the motor plate, sorry to say, because you already have a Big Block.

Talking

Actually the Baja is much better than the orion big block. For one its not a sealed end bell like the mabuchi knock offs. It has ball bearings and is rebuildable. Meaning you can replace the brushes and properly clean it when needed. Not sure if the timing is adjustable....Have not looked at mine in a while. Slightly longer can than the Mabuchi and carrys stronger magnets. It is also modified meaning that its a few less turns than the plain ole big blocks so it will be alot faster...You will be very happy with it.
Its a great motor. I dont know what Supra is talking about with the motor plate thing. Should bolt right in the 18t as it comes stock with 370 size motor.

Have fun,
Pux

might i recommend upgrading to the FT motor mount. since you will be running a bunch of power thru the motor, you would benefit from a stronger mount!
