Micro RS4 Help...Is this forum still alive?

I'm not sure if this will get answered here or not, this forum looks like a ghost town.
I would like someones opinion on replacing the stock spur gear setup on a micro rs4 with a rear ball diff set. I can't find a metal original only this aluminum diff. Any idea on the two?

The ball diff still uses a plastic spur gear so you can't really call it an alloy diff. They do work well if you're willing to pay the high price.

So I'm looking at having plastic spur gear no matter what i choose? I think someone has to make a alloy one, it would just make sence.

What about this. Looks to be solid without the 4 small gears inside it like mine.

HA ha yea I see now. I have failed to mention that drifting is what I'm doing with the car. I have a Mamba 8000 in the little beast now and running pvc insted of foam or rubber, with a Mamba 25 esc. Locked the front diff with some Shoe Goo. Its ghetto but is sure is fun.

My drive way is 32 foot wide and 188 foot long. Its split by a small brick wall thats the pertect size for a pit and seating in the last 35 foot of it. The split is a covered 2 car parking area. It all makes for a very nice driftind area and regular road course.

I also have a assaciated 18mt that I bash around with the local kids. My dog has spastic seisures when I break out the Esavvy due to a race that the dog lost when I ran him over. Big truck small dog type of thing.
Oh yea what was we talking about?

Dont know since my gut is hurting from laughing so hard. Well since you are drifting then that would make a good hopup to get over the stock one.

I don't know. I'm not sure if I even want to fool with it now. I took the mamba package out of the RS4 today and put it into the 18mt. WOW! I got a 11 tooth pinion and a 60 tooth spur. 11.1v 1650mAh lipo. I think i broke almost every major suspension part on the poor thing this morning when i hit my own foot. I broke the shock tower, lost both front dog bones, broke both the shocks in half.split the caps. I had fun for about 10 fun filled minutes.
