ROFL my rc18 handled pretty damn good to, I flipped the shocks and I didnt notice any difference. I do not have the stock outdrives. Their silver and made out of some sort of metal. Damn I sound like a newb lol.

EDIT: Forgot to mention.... I heard someone with a nitro truck down the street so I decided to hunt him down. Turns out he was driving a HIP Savage... I smoked him LOL. (Yes I took it out with the diff missing a ball... I just had too...)

Wait what? I think I may be confused. What exactly are outdrives? I thought they were the pieces that come out of the diff.... all this is new to me. Im used to traxxas trucks to be honest.

EDIT: http://www.toadztoyz.com/Shop/Contro...id/0/SFV/32938
Thats what I figured outdrives were. Mine look exactly like that.

I agree! And thank you alfred for all your help!
I guess I should have been more detailed.... I need bigger tires I think... I hear people use 1/10 scale on these things. Do I need to use 1/10 touring tires or can I get something with a little more meat on them? I plan on doing a good bit of off roading.

Thanks. Ill look into those.

Yea I know what you mean. He seemed to have a lot of good information but he was a jerk when he came to saying it. Always seemed to make everyone feel lower than him. Thats not what forums are about, its about helping out people like me that are new or have some questions.

I remember when I first signed up on this forum however long ago with my mini-t he was one of the ones to answer my post and he was a jerk back then too. Its sad really.

Yea thats the part im thinking of. Thats all metal right there. Just the gears in the diff itself are the only things still plastic. Anyways I got the diff back together so it dont matter anymore I guess.

I was thinking of locking the rear diff because I like how it handles with the diff locked. What do you think about super gluing the ring gear to the two metal pieces in the top left of this picture?
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXJHS2&P=FR
Seems that way I wouldnt ruin my outdrives but it would still lock the diff.

And if you want to lock the rear diff make sure that you take the balls out and shim that space.......but you might want to use something stronger the super glue.

Oh yes good idea. I was just going to take the balls out and super glue it but I guess that would make things a little off. How about I take the balls out and JB weld it all together? I actually have JB weld but I would have to go out and buy super glue.
