i got mine in, came with the batt and bearings but the motor is backordered, nuts
ill run it in stock form for now until i get the motor
as of now im waiting for the batts to charge
first impressions are pretty good, seems solid, stiff springs, full size radio and servo stuff, good tires, body is kinda so so
the stickeres were not cut well on mine but i got it worked out
well we played with mine today. Set up just stock the way it came out of the box. 6 AA bateries. Seems pretty slow stock. Not much power. I think with the 7 cell venom pack it will wake it up some. I am going to play around with the gearing too. I can say though that it handles pretty well!!!
Mine finally came to my house today! Weird thing though... I got one in the morning from USPS and I opened it up and it was the silver color(the one I wanted). So I was setting it up and then I heard another doorbell around early afternoon. A FedEx truck came by and dropped off another MiniGiant?! I was like in my head... I never ordered 2? BTW the second one is red. Anyway, I noticed that the first one came from a hobby shop in PA and the second one came from Venom-Racing in ID. But all the order information were both exactly the same on the receipts but came from 2 different places...
Well anyway, I don't have batteries to run my MiniGiant so it'll take a while till I give my opinion. There were a few things that I didn't like... 1.) My body had quite a few sharp excess plastic sticking out around the edges. I just removed it with an exacto knife but I'm just curious if any had this problem? 2.) Some of my decals didn't really "connect" together really well with each other. Some were a bit short while others were a bit long(I just trimmed them a little). 3.) The way the body mounts is kind of strange with the screws in the front? But I guess I'll just get used to it. 4.) Anyone else have their MiniGiant come with an extremely long antenna in the chassis? Mine just dangles on the floor even with the tube in place.
That's it... I'm just waiting for my 7 cell battery pack to come in along with the micro plug.
I put in Rayovac 1.2v 2000mAh NiMH batteries into the transmitter and it started to burn and melt the batteries. Isn't the transmitter NPBS just like the pack for the truck? Did anybody else have problems with there MiniGiant?
wow that sucks
i put mine in back and forth like you would normally, i dont wanna try out this non polar thing maybe they touched what they werent supposed to somehow
