Venom Mini Giant Body Qs?

Hey, I can't wait to get my hands on one of these new Venom Minis. But what I don't like is the body So I was wondering if I could switch it with a 1/25th scale Revell Monster Truck body? Thanks for the help!

MiniGiant = Bison

Do a search for "Bison 4wd", that's the "original" name for the MiniGiant.

I remeber reading that it has pretty much the same wheelbase as a Mini-T.

Here's a link for a Bison review in French:

Thank you, I was hoping to use a 1/25 "Grave Digger" model but I guess it's too small

Do you happen to know of any other site(preferably in english) that talks about the Bison/MiniGiant? The french site was helpful but it was a bit hard to understand since when it was translated to english, most appeared a bit backwards? Thanks again

i actualy did a litle research on the venom truck for this thread, ok, here

im guessing the 1/25 body WILL fit on the 1/20 venom truck,
why im saying this becease if you look at the picture, the body is mounted high, so if you made/got some add ons or something to mount the body SAFLEY maybe, velcro works nice for body mounting,
so id go ahead and try it, its just a matter of time they coem out with clear bodies to paint too,

so good luck,

Okay, as most of you may or may not know, I've been planning on mounting a Grave Digger body on my Mini Giant. Before I start modding the chassis, I need your opinion on how the body looks on the chassis. I need to know if it looks great, looks a bit funny, small, too long, etc. Remember, it's just sitting on the chassis right now.

In this pic, you can see the antenna mount for the tube is blocking the body from sitting down on the chassis. I pland to just cut that off and mount the antenna somewhere in the back.

Any feedback and suggestions are appreciated

Wow man.. that's a really nice lookin' body.

Besides sitting down on the chassis (you mentioned it's just sitting on top right now), I think the dimensions look great, excellent match from kit to MG man.

I'm guessing the GraveDigger body will fit as well as the bigfoot body I plan to use(GraveDigger looks good on it Racer240).
The bodies that seem to fit well are from AMT 1/25 scale plastic model monster truck kits.I plan on using the bigfoot or usa-1 body from AMT.I personally dont care for the GraveDigger theme but the body is cool.

That looks excellent! I think it fits the chassis perfectly, can't wait to see it "mounted".

No one else thinks it's sitting a little far forward?

That's my input. Otherwise--good looking body. And I'm not even really a fan of g'digger....

yeah it is sitting a bit forward and a bit high but since he just has it resting on there I was looking at it more of possible fit and it looks like it will fit nicely.

I think it would look best with the bottom section of the body between the wheel wells centered between the tires and the body overall lowered to where the tops of the shocks are just hidden by the tops of the wheel wells(need to check suspension travel).
If that body is anything like my bigfoot body then it is most likely hitting some things which prevents it from being fitted just right but with a little work it should look great.

Thanks for all of the feedback everyone!

I tried what you guys suggested and I managed to come up with this...

The thing is that the sides of the body curve inward to clip onto the original model kit chassis. It was that that was preventing it from going down. I managed to pull the body sides over the MG chassis. It's tight, but it fits. I'll need to shave a bit of plastic off the servo "arm" sticking out on the left side in order for the left side of the body to match up evenly with the right.
Anyway, I'll probably create a thin mount to slip right under the on/off switch and extend it to the other side. Hopefully, this mount I plan on doing will mimic the tabs that the body slots into on the model kit chassis.

(Sorry, I'm tried to explain this as best as I could.)

Keep the feedbacks coming, I really want this to look correct
