Question Need reccomendations on good small reciever and ESC please.

Well, I am finally getting around to doing something with my EXO 2 chassis (lol ive ahd it since... november? anywas) I had been running a wattage airplane ESC (iono which one it is, the label came off ) and an airtronics supermicro M8 reciever. But now that I am using an EXO2 chassis, they dont fit anymore really. I think i can fit the ESC in but the edge will be poking off the chassis a little, and by the way I drive that wouldnt be too great . I have a 32mm x 32mm and 35mm x 30mm space for the two to go in. can put one in either spot, whichever fits . I know I can get a novak XXL and a Quantum Micro ESC, but those are rather expensive . So I was wondering, any other alternatives that are maybe, lower in prive? thanks for any help guys.

[edit]
forgot to say, I will be racing with it, so I am going to be using a speed 300 motor most likely.

Give a Novak Spy ESC a try and you can disable the reverse if it is not allowed in racing.

i dont think racing a s300 on ur spy is a problem cuz i have a s300 on my spy and its holding out pretty good...if im not wrong most of the motors that are out for the micros are s300 based like the bigblock, and the chubby....but before u go ahead and put a s300 on ur spy ask around to see what everyone else says....if you have ne Q's ask the guys on this forum are always more then glad to help....hopes this helps

Is it AM or FM? If FM Hitec makes some universal small recievers that work pretty darned good. I think they almost have the same width as a XXL, but are a bit longer. If all else fails.. decase and shrinkwrap (which works surprisingly well).

hey, i looked at the hitec fm recievers on their site, and the only one that would fit is the feather, but it is 72mhz? Will that work with an m8?

The Hitec RX that is referred to on this thread is the HFS-03MM. You'd have to get the same FM Frequency as your M8, either 75mHz or 27mHz. The 72mHz RX you're talking about is for airplanes.

I think and xxl and an ipd race-20 if you can find one. i got mine just when they stopped selling them. is great. i run a speed 300 on 6 cells. it will handle 10 cells and is lighter and smaller than any other esc's out there in my opinion. the only problem is that its shrink wrapped instead of having a case so stay away from any liquid. i got mine for $40 dollars brand new.
