Batteries batteries, which one which one

Hey there!

Been using these 2000 mAh NiMh AA cells in my MRS4 for a while and I've decided that its time to see if I can make it go any faster! The chassis is slotted for a seven cell config so I am looking for unassembled cells. I really want to be able to run it for long periods instead of racing it fast and having to recharge a lot. What is the charge time for these things anyways? Meh, NiMh would probably be better than NiCd. Really I'm just looking for something that is low maitenence. Oh well, I guess I'm going to need a good charger too.

This is really going to cost me a lot of money isnt it? T.T

Any advice for a battery noob?

Thanks in advance!

Those look nice but the mAh is smaller than what I have on my car now.

Well, I dont know much about batteries but doesnt that mean I'll get lower run times? But then could I also buy two sets and use them in sequence?

They also sell 3000+ mAh batteries but they cost about 3x as much. If I bought the lower mAh ones couldnt I just charge two sets and swap them when one is dead? That would seem cheaper

Thanks!

The <1400mAh cells are 2/3A-size cells, and they're the only ones that fit. You'll also need a peak charger for your car, it'll be about $50.

NO! Don't get the superbrain 959, it false peaks. Get the Pirahna digital Peak. It's cheaper, has a high-def LCD screen, it's more adjustable, etc.

Hmmm... I was going to get teh superbrain because its supposed to be easy to use. Just hook it up and click start. I didnt want to spend too much time messing with batteries and charging.

Is the piranha easy to use too? Anything else relavent?

Thanks for saving me from buying the superbrain if it does false peak though!

XD
