Looks fast... I might think of this once my Monster gets worn out (I don't even have on yet!). I don't trust Tower... Don't get me wrong, I but almost all of my parts from there (unless i find a deal on eBay, like $200 of upgrades for $50 ). Just when I was about to buy a Powerlineracing rear spring set for $1.30, the price rose to $12.99. If you don't believe me, i have a screen shot of when the price was $1.30.

It's already out for a while. The firsst results i heard, as it came out and the first people got it, was that the motor fried after a few runs.
Maybe the problems are solved now, as it's more than half a year ago that it came out.

What cells are you using? Make sure they have a high discharge rate. Also, make sure that the motor isn't over geared.

using the same stock gearing 16/45
stock motor has more torque and get up.. even when using the 600mah batts..
i tried the fusion motor with my ib1400,, and it just rolled across the floor,,, nothing ipressive.. looked more like a radioshack toy..
i will try to get a 13/49 gearing and give it a go.. and see what will happen there.. i did try however 11/45 with the fusion,, and it still didnt like it.. the only thing is that th lowest pinion in matric i can find is 12t.. by robinson

hey jae you do know that the timing is adjustable right.....try to set the setting higher and see how that goes......your setting must be way too low.

i will give it a try.. but i dont know if it will make that much of a difference.. i think the tranny is just wrong for it,, it comes stock with a speed 400 motor,, so that could be the problem,,almost like running a rc18 with 45t spur..

Well just see if that helps.....add more timing to the motor and see if that gives it, its get up and go.

just got mine in the mail (didnt know tower would have them so soon so i ended up ordering a high speed one from HK needless to say orderd the high torque one from tower this week also )
anyway after recutting the comm as i do on all new motors to ensure the comm is perfectly round and then resolderd the brushes closer to the shunt i placed the motor on my motor tester(much more)...this thing has some balls!!!..pulling 5 amps on 4 cell test mode, yea i know its bench racing and only real world testing will yield true results but i think we may have a winner, in comparision a new 17t mini mod that i also had laying around only pulled 3 amps
the mini mods have been great to me but for the next race day next weeked i will definitely be wheeling the fusion
on a side note, dont know why they call it a 370 motor, the can is actually closer in size to a 280
