Have not been here in a while my RS4 question

I have not been here in over 3 years but I have never gotten out of RC. For the past 5 years I have been racing 1/8 scale nitro buggies and about a year ago went to 1/5 scale gas buggies. I now have 40 PLUS hobby grade RC vehicles.

There is a shop about 60 miles away that among other tracks has a carpet track. I knocked the dust off my Micro RS4 charged the batter which surprising is still good and runs fine. Has the HPI Micro RS4 been discontinued????? Are parts still available is so???? I would like to run it at the hobby shops carpet track and if I can still get parts need to know what tires I need to run.
Thanks and Happy New year.

yeah man .. sorry to tell ya.. hpi stop producing parts.. stormerhobbies and ebay are a pretty good pace to find parts

some nice soft rubber is good for carpet
read your hpi instructions. it tells you whats good for what and what pinion to use. hope this helps

Does HPI make anything 1/18 scale now? I looked but all I could find was 1/10. I have not run my Micro RS 4 much because never had a place to run it. Might run it till I cannot get any parts. I forget the brushed motor I have but it is FAST. Right now it is FM but if I start racing much will convert it to DSM RX.

i think the 1/18th scale has run its course... mini z's are the new craze around here... i have 12 Mrs4's and no one wants to race them but i'll find a tennis court somewhere and create a track
what parts do you need?

i have a wide selection.

Body is a RAD Porsche 917K. The motor is a Pro PK370. I sure wish some one around here did more with the Mini-Z s as I have a few of them as well. Matter of fact I have well over 40 hobby grade RC vehciles mostly land but getting into some aircraft.

That is only about half my track. To set up all of it I have to set it up outside or totally remove all the furniture from a room then it is tight.

Thats a good start.....on carpet you might need to play with it.....in the old days i was running soft foams in the rear with medium to soft rubbers up front.

I can find plenty of foam tires for it but rubber tires are getting hard to find.

I need to work on my1 to 1 car as I noticed yesterday it is leaking antifreeze. Been to cold for much out door activity and is why I was thinking about some carpet racing as it is indoors. VRP Hobby and Raceway has 4 out door tracks and a carpet track inside. Just wish it was not 62 miles away. Closes tracks to me.

For the past year been racing my HPI 5b SS 1/5 scale and the 4 years before that 1/8 nitro.
