Gpm dellrin diff

Has anyone tried them in their rc18? I am running now the steel diffgears but they don't mess exactly and they produce a lot of noise.
They look great:

Never tried them myself. Are you running The Toyz steel diff gears? I though they were considered the best? Try cleaning out the teeth with a needle and toothpick then applying a bit of white lithium grease.

Yep, they are the ones. They are also made by GPM. I have cleaned them several times but no luck. I know dellrin is strong and less noise.

Maybe they were defective, contact the toyz because I am running steel ones as well and they are wonderful. They have no sign of wear at all!

I have found a tutorial with the stock gears. They seemed to be very strong when the diffs are correctly shimmed, even with a high revving brushless motor.
Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFwY_JFq-4s I ordered myself new gears to try it myself. Keep you posted.

MrU,
I run the GPM delrin diffs in my TEK18X and love them. I havent been able to run the steel gears in either of my Exotek equipped trucks due to binding. I think its because of the way the Exotek gear case covers are shaped on the bottom. I have 4 sets of the steel gears that I have been unable to use but have had ZERO problems out of properly shimmed stock gears and ZERO problems out of the delrin diffs. I have to agree that properly shimming any gear mesh is critical to the way they run and wear.

Thanks, I replaced the GPM steel diff gears with the stock ones and shimmed them properly without having problems so far.
