"what i want to know is are the rc18's diffs stronger and what is needed to install the rc18's driveshaft since i am going to go this route."
yes they are stronger. depends on what rc18 diffs you get. some fit better than others. driveshaft does not need to be exchanged, but if you do go with a rc18 shaft, you have to change the spur as its hex.
"does the pp bearings work with the rc18's drive shaft? "
bearings are exactly the same.
nine - 8 x 12 x 3.5mm
six - 4 x 8 x 3mm
"is all i need is the a complete drive shaft with front and rear pinons and spur and pinon to match the new drive shaft for correct gearing."
gearing doesn't change in the gearbox. same ratio. the biggest problem with swapping diffs / diff parts is the slightly longer dogbones, slightly larger pins n the dogbones and occasionally the diff boxes have to be slightly enlarged to accomodate. (a mm or 2 tops)
good luck!
