Have you tried Ultimate Hobbies?

1/18 has all but died here as far as I know . I was hoping that there would have been more 1/18 participation but it dwindled a few years back.

By "Local hobby shop" do you mean Ultimate Hobbies?

I no longer own any R/C cars. I raced micro for years and won many races but my priorities have shifted a bit. Now I am racing real cars when I can.

What sorts of parts are you looking for anyway?

Yes, I mean Ultimate Hobbies and Hobby People. They don't seem to have much if at all 1/18th stuff. I think I can get everything online but I just wanna know if there are any micro racers here in SoCal and where do they usually go. I have my old old 1/10th HPI Pro when it first came out that I bashed in the parking lot but I really want to get started again with micro.

Honestly, I am not sure that there really is much micro racing here anymore. It seems to have died a while back. I used to take my 1/18 cars out to the track with the 1/10 guys and chase them down.

Where have you been Daniel?

I have been racing my S2000 around various tracks as of late. It is much more challenging than racing RC's but unfortunately it is a lot more expensive

How's it going Lamar? I've been keeping busy. Kids got me running around pretty good with their sports, scouts, b-day parties...you get the idea. Not racing anymore. I still fly some r/c slope sailplanes on occasion. I cruise the boards here every once in a blue moon to see what's new. I kinda like that Robi 4-cell 18th scale pan car...pretty cool.

Hey hey, reunion time?

Karl, I'm coming home for break midway through December, not sure if I'll bring any racing gear back for a month, since it's a lot to carry on a plane.
