Yes I did it with a MRS4. It takes some trickery just like doing it with the M18. If you want to get the body as low as possible for the best looks then it may be useful to rig it up to work with no top plate. That makes it possible to mount the electronics lower so the body can then fit down lower. This is how I did it with my wife's MRS4. It could be done with less trouble but the body will sit higher. of course it all depends on the size of the electronics you are using too.

Gen 2 Formula Harnois

Here are some updated links, since I noticed some links on this thread are broken.

Pics of Acid's car:

1st Gen Formula Harnois cars with the xciter bodies:

2nd Gen Formula Harnois cars with the Jconcepts mini BJ4 bodies:
http://picasaweb.google.com/harnoish...noisJConcepts#

There was some discussion on this thread about modifying the cars to work with the buggy bodies. Well at this point, with the Jconcepts body, there's not much modification necessary at all. With an M18, just remove the top plate or bar, and attach the body directly to the top of the front gear and a fabricate a body post on the center hole of the rear gear box. Use the stock xray body post holder to hold the spoiler. The album above has lots of close-up pics. Some re-arranging of your electronics may be necessary to make them fit, but nothing drastic, especially now with so many affordable and small li-po battery options. The outside servo mount will poke out of the side of body a little, but not a big deal at all if you ask me. One of our racers also kept his top plate and made that work.

We've really been enjoying our open-wheel racing series. The tight racing and crashes that we get with open wheels have us red faced with laughter on a regular basis. We built up 8 of the 2nd gen cars in March 2009, and have been racing them every week since! Lots of info on the cars on our website here:
