CHUBBY Motors

Not so impressed with the " CHUBBY " motor. Maybe i should've dropped it into a glass of water for a quick break-in first I dont know , but I tested it against 2 different OEM Associated 18 motors and the Chubby was the worst of the 3. The Assoc. motors were old too. Going BL for now , I will use an Aero-Nuts BL 4900 system. I use it on a MiniBaja with a 3cell , fast enough. I will run a mild battery and do a soft tune on the ESC , dont want to strip out any gears just yet.

Just to let you guys know that, that motor is made by Mabuchi......you will find this out if you take the label off......all your paying for is the company label they stick on the can. Hey bud, please check your pm....your care package is on the way.

I did , again thanks.
I knew , from the archives on this site that it was RE-Labled as were several diff. brands. I just wanted the BB plate and the name was enough for me to get that motor , thought it was different. I have had several 540 Mabuchi motors in the past and they have performed well. No biggie though.
