Well with nothing better to do than take pics of my truck!

Here's some pics with the Dakota body and the half8 wing.

Looks a little better to me as the Dakota has a lower stance to it, but the white wing does'nt exactly match the paint scheme/colors!

So I guess I'll be getting a Parma wing to paint black to match this body!

Looks good .

Didn't seem like you had to cut out too much out back for the wing mounts. The rounded cut was a nice touch

Mahalo for the comments guys!

Here's some pics with big's Speed Hawgs on HPI Spike MT wheels!

This is a little better match to the truck with it's smaller overall size.

But I still love the look of the Claw Dawgs!!!

Mahalo Alfred!

Well I was having fun till the pinion gear went out!

But Ronbeck found some diff gears for me, and I called to get the upgrade package from Losi with the improved gears!

So hopefully next week my MLST will be running again!

Hau`oli Makahiki Hou!

Well got to run my MLST for the first time in 2 weeks last night!!!

Met up with big-kid and shot a little bit of video of the Dual Hyperion 6k's in action!!!

For this run I set the punch control on the mamba esc to 50% to be on the safe side.

I tried running the slipper gear a little looser, but this setup just has to much torque! So I ended up running it about a half turn out from locked.

The truck still had enough power to plant the rear end down on launches from both a standstill and rolling start!

With the stock gearing I would guess the speed in the mid 30's range? And this is with the timing set at low as well.

We than changed to punch control to 20%. This allowed the truck to lift the front wheels about 2 inches off the ground from a standstill!

Most impressive is that the truck lasted the whole night of around 20 or more high speed passes!

After taking the truck apart to boil the diff pinion gears the gears showed no signs of wear! And the boiled gears will be even better!

I had originally thought that running a slightly looser slipper would help take some strain off of the diff pinion gears, but with a torquey brushless motor it will just slip to much with anything beyond a turn our from locked!

I think if you are running a mamba esc it would be a good idea to set the punch control between 20%-50% to have less power sent to the drivetrain off the start. And that although it will take away the kewl wheelies it will should allow your truck to survive a little longer!hehehe

Remember though that this is based off my Dual Hyperion 6k's with stock gearing, so you will want to play around with the punch control settings for your particular motor and gearing?

Well took the Dual Hyperion setup off my truck!

It was fun but way to much!

Running a single Hyperion 6kv motor now. I like this layout a lot better as it is a cleaner looking setup! And I'm sure it will still be plenty of fun to drive!

Made a cover for the open motor mount out of lexan and this doubling as a mount for my receiver!

Nicely done

I like how you ended up mounting the Off/On switch , good job. It's always been a thorn in my side because the little bugger would always mange to wiggle it's way free

Have you had a chance to let the single Hyperion get a good work out yet ?
