How 'bout these leds on the car

These leds seem pretty good. but am worried about their size and weight. Good specs tho, so i need you guys to help me dececide

They do look kinda heavy with the 9v battery and all. Dang 500ft for that small of a light! thats pretty good! i you buy them, you know your going to have to put pictures out (or well have to ban you!!j/k )

I got those lights and they are kinda heavy and big (9v) but the brightness of the lights are unbelievable!
I believe the LED dimensions are 7mm? kinda big compared to Hpi's 5mm. Those lights are a must for mini-t's

wellm, instead of using a 9v, im just gonna put a receiver plug on the bare wires and plug them into my receiver.

just a question Bavarian, when they say 7 volts per led did you solder the leds together parrallel to acheive the most out of the leds? cause i maybe wrong but if you have 2 of those leds in serial wiring a 9v will only give 4.5v to each one making them less bright.

Good Question... you wont have a problem connecting the LEDs individually or parallel. I thought of the same thing when I bought them but I didnt have any problems, the only time intensity will become low if your battery is low.

is it 500 ft projected from the car visible light. or you can see the light from 500 ft away? im really skeptical about the intensity. DO you have any pics of yours installed on your micro? So you running ONE 9v on multiple lights?

U can actually connet 4 LEDs to a 9V and you'll see no difference.
Heres a pic, it Really sucks, but hopfully you get the idea. Your question of visible light 500 ft. away... hmm.. sure, the best color to get is the blue LED, the magenta and green are not as intense as the blue LED.

well the chance that the guy on ebay is saying that it is visivle from 500 ft away is more probable than 500 ft of light beam, since there are alot of led flashlights with a mile visiblity away.

thanks for the insight about the 4 lights on a 9v, and about the picture, i really cant tell where is the front, heck, i cant see a thing except those two spots of light.

heres my lighting idea, 4 white leds in the front, 2 blue fog lights, 2 red tail-lights, and 4 red under body lights- front back side and side.

Sorry about the pic, but the lights were coming from the front. facing the wall.

Yeah I don't know who thought of this, but I tink they need to be shot.

Maybe if they weren't directional, they would get the effect I think they want (you know, the tower lights usually on stages).

those look very very nice. very realistic. only problem is that u'll be very tight under the hood with those white boxes. those pics are the lights installed on a 1:10. it would be very different from a micro

very true, dougboy, but with those lite boxes keepign them on the car woudl be alot easier, theyre smaller than a quarter.
