Maybe because with the 4WD it can climb up water spouts
...you just have to watch out for the rain.

I like how Trinity has caught on to the fact that no one wants those obnoxious RTR electronics and offers a "pro" rolling chassis for the more advanced R/C enthusiast.

I agree, my Mini-Quake was a non RTR version for that exact same reason.
The only RTR I've seen with decent electronics is the RC18T, Associated kept it real by using a seperate RX a nice small ESC and a real front steering servo (unlike the Mini-T)
IBS has another advantage now that BLiND now manufactures decent battery packs for it
Have any Members purchased a Trinity IBS?

just bought the itsy bitsy spider, though i hate the name. i just call it the tibs , and there is one other on road micro you missed. the msf, or street force. i bought the tibs rtr, but only because i got it cheep, other wise would have went with the ae rc18, but like this one just fine. so do any of you have this truck, or are just stating your opinions on what you have read about them? would like to see what other owners say about them too.

wow you saw those? I had a couple requests for packs for the trucks so I added them, I think I've sold 2 packs...lol
The truck definately should sell well, its 4wd, and RTR is only $129 retail, that really is a good deal.
I haven't even seen one in person yet Or any good pictures of them other than what is on trinity's website.
I do like the chassis set trinity is coming out with for them, but I feel that chassis should have been on the truck from the beginning.

IBS

Congratulations on your new toy. You are probably one of the first Members to buy one.
What swayed me to the RC18T instead of the IBS was the following:
IBS has RX/ESC Combo - This does me no favours as I use 40MHz FM (UK/Euro freq.) radio gear
IBS has friction shocks. Being in the UK, hop ups are slow to hit the shelves and overpriced to what I can get them for on Ebay
I must add, the color of the bodyshell on Trinity's website leaves a lot to be desired!
What I do like about the IBS is the fact it has steel dogbones and adjustable turnbuckles.
Let us know how it goes, you made a great choice of truck IMO and I assure you that I will add one of these to my collection in the not too distant future.

Well the Pro be cheaper then the RTR. Is that the one that comes in kit form where all you need to do is add your electronics.

it is supposed to be here on tues. my payment took forever to clear pay pal. i got the rtr, but will most likely be selling the elec. on ebay after i decide what i want to put in it. i was going to go with mamba, but i think i will just get a new esc, and reciever, and put my pro rk 370 in it for now. what is a good esc that will handle 8.4? let me re frase that, a good cheep esc for 8.4 volt packs. cant wait to get it. i may have to sacrafice the msf for more hop ups.

The GM series ESC's will handle that application. GMv3r and the v4r are digital esc's and are not pricey at all.
