Talking anyone seen some cells like this?

I just got (21) 2/3a cells from onlybatteries.com and I wanted to match them the best I could so I hook them up to my old turbo 30 (one cell at a time to match) and I found that when they are fully cycled they end up with 1.29volt. Yes that is fully discharged voltage. when fully charged they are more on the avarage of 1.46-1.52v. They were all 1.29v when fully discharged. anyone have batteries like this or are mine just really good. P.S. they were 1000mah rating and were more like 1200mah on the turbo 30.

my 5-cell packs peak at around 7.4--7.5 volts. That works out to be roughly 1.5 volts per cell....which jives with what you've got.

I use the generic teamspeedster 2/3 A cells in a homemade pack.

Is the reading that you are getting the discharge avg voltage or the voltage after the battery has sat for awhile? Also to discharge the smaller batteries we have found that a 5amp discharge with a .90 cutoff per cell is ideal. What are your settings at and what sort of run time and internal resistance did you come up with?

1.29 was right after they got off the the 6amp discharge cycle and it was set at .90 cut off, I didn't even look at the IR.

I am redoing all the matching now here is what I am using.

2 amp charge
4 amp dicharge
.90 volt cut-off

I will post the avarage voltage discharge
resistance
run time
peak voltage

Will have them up soon!!!

Ok I have them all matched here is my findings (for 21 cells)

Average peak voltage was= 1.47 was low, 1.55 high

Runtime= 802 was the low, 815 was the high

Average Voltage= 1.149 low 1.162 highest

Resistance= 12 was low 15 was high

These cells are not bad for under $3.00 each, can't wait to assemble the packs and see how they perform.

Does charging it at 2A and discharging at 4A hurt the batteries, because I heard that you should keep it under 1A. Thanks.

I charged them at 2amps just for the matching, I will charge them at 1or 1.5amps for racing and playing.

one more thing, what is the highest rate at which I can discharge 2/3A's?

Your numbers are a little higher than what I've got but I discharged at 5 instead of 4. The settings that you match at should be the same as what you normally charge and discharge at. That way the numbers stay true.

I charge all my packs at 3amps and repeak at 4amps. It gives them more zip than a 1 or 2 amp charge. It doesn't seem to hurt them either.

How fast you discharge really depends on what your using. On something with a cutoff voltage like the turbo's anything above 6 or 7amps will throw the reading off. If your using light bulbs you could discharge at 10amps without much problem.
