RC18 540 1/10th scale motor mount

Working On a 540 Motor Mount for the RC18
The problem I'm having is the Pinion gear is really far from the spur gear.. So I need a big Pinion gear...
here are some pics

so far looking good man....you might need to move the motor or make the mount adjustable to meet the pinion......that or try another pinion.

Yup the problem I'm having right now is the biggest pinnion gear I could find with a 48 pitch was a 36 tooth. The spur I'm using now is a 60t and the two gears are still very far apart. I will need to redo or rethink the mount

You can cut a small section away from the upperdeck and see if your able to slide the motor in some.......

Thanks for the suggestion
If a 47 tooth pinion gear is still too small I might need to cut the upper deck like you suggested.

I just ordered these... Some one sent me a link yesterday
Robinson Racing Pinion Gear 47 tooth 48 pitch

Wonder how fast it's gonna be with the gear to motor speed ratio.

Ok so I got the pinion gear and spur gear to mesh.
I switch out the motor from the traxxas stinger motor to the Kyosho 540 G20.

The 540 1:10th scale motor is mounted on the rc18 and ready to go
Here is a pic more pics coming soon.

You might need to download Quicktime....and restart your puter.......you might also want to let the vid load up first.
