Weak Steering Knuckles
I run all stock except for a rear ball diff and universal dog bones. The part that keeps breaking though are my steering knuckles. I've had each side break once. They seem to occur on the inside of turns when the inside wheel is exposed the most and skims the pipe.
I race with a lot of people and we've all had it happen. I've wanted to get an alloy one, but are they any better? I'm thinking that they could crack while the plastic one would bend first.
I think my steering knuckles are weakened when I push and pull my wheels on, cause, when a wheel is pulled of, that little nub on the bottom is one of the thiings that keep the hub from comming off when the wheel is yanked off.

I recently ordered the kuckles from the Honk kong guy on EBAY and sent the money but have no idea if he got it or not. I really doubt they will break. the reason they do break is they flex over and over again which weakens them, having no flex should actually help the metal ones.

Integy makes alloy replacements that look just like the stock ones. They have the 3 screws to hold the bearings in. Like above some guys have good success with GPMs.One of my bearings was way too loose in the GPM knuckle. However it was an easy fix with a "carefully placed drop of CA.
One problem may be finding the Integys. The last time checked they were backordered.

Check out the Team Homies knuckles also. They are just like the Integy knuckles but I believe that they are cheaper. You can find them on ebay from a Hong Kong seller named "rl0725" I've ordered many items from him, including the Team Homies knuckles, and all transactions are smooooth. For most of his items, he only charges $3.00 for S/H. That's really cheap especially since it's coming from Hong Kong!!!!

delrin is just a another name for a type of plastic.. sorta like Lexan....
so all those "delrin" parts are just another blend of plastics.. usually white.
-Jason
p.s. I dont know how strong the delrin plastics are compared to an alloy part...

IMHO-Delrin is stiffer than the nylon-type of plastic used for stock parts, but it does break just as easily as stock if not easier. The flexing of the stock parts helps durability. My friend put delrin arms on his TC3 and the lightest hit snapped them like pretzel sticks. Lots of $$ in the trashcan.......
