I have just been to the HiTec website and seen this there http://www.hitecrcd.com/Servos/hs56.htm , I am just about to buy a Mini-T but im trying to do a bit of research with regards to the servo issue. I want to replace it asap and im trying to see if there is a replacement that has the same dimensions as the stock one. Does anyone have off hand the dimensions of the stock servo thats in the Mini-T.
Thx
I'm hoping that the Venom mini giant reciever/esc will work with a standard radio and be availible soon.
I have a mini giant and the reciever/esc unit seems to be a bit better than the one that came with my mini-t and it takes a standard 3 wire servo.
I just took the Tx crystal out of the mini giant radio and put it in my futaba magnum 2pl and it will works the mini giant perfectly and I also plugged in the hitec hs-225mg servo that I recently purchased and it works fine in the venom ap-re1an esc/reciever unit so I think I'll stick one of those venom units in my mini-t when they become availible.

i was wondering if anybody ever considered the plantraco DSP4- SC reciever/esc. i dont anything about rx and tx or esc but just thought id through it out there...
I've just fitted a HS85 into the mini-t. Trimmed the chassis a bit like you would to fit the HS81 and also trim the servo mounting ears away...some servo tape and voila its on ! I have power steering now.
Location: just lean it out and give me more brakes!

you dont have to trim the chassis with the 81, that is why i originally used it. the 85 is a better servo and choice but trimming the chassis is the downfall....

Yep - the HS-81mg does require the chassis to be modded in order to fit - but the servo itself CAN be modded if need be to work with the STOCK electronics.
I have heard that you can change the 3 wires on an hs 81 to fit the stock elecs which is four wire. If that is true can someone please give me step by step instructions to do that? thanks I have been into RC for 4 months so i'm kinda new.
