Charge the pack and let it rest for an hour or so to let the cells equalize themselves, using a dmm take the total voltage of the pack if your using a 6cell pack the voltage should be 7.2 or higher depending on the quality of the cells....anything under could be a number of things, a cell has gone bad, and or not connected, pack is old, and has a high internal resistance. I would also check the connectors and connections.

It seems like it is one of the batts... and I think I figured out which one! I tried what you said and they all seemed to hold a charge above 8V for a couple days. The battery I belive has the problem, did not stand out during this test. It seemed to hold about the same charge as all the others. However I raced around my track this weekend and that batt made both my trucks do that sputtering crap. Didn't notice it on any other batt, just that one. So I am guessing its a loose connection because it seems to hold a charge fine.

Dont know how skilled you are with a soldering iron, i would just take the pack apart and check each cell that way. Make sure you charge the pack first of course. If you want you can always send me the pack and i will do all that for you.

I think now that I have found the problem i will take it apart and check it out. I am looking to get better batts anyways so this is a good reason to start looking.

Have any batts you would recommend? I have found a few already assembled packs that seem good... I was also throwing around the idea of trying a 7cell pack... I am pretty sure the megatech esc can handle the voltage... It would be a big increase in speed... Just an idea.
