Hey blind, I just saw your graph comparing the GP to Intellec cells, very intresting. The 1200 cell looked like they performed the same or a tick better with their voltage. Of course their run times are a bit longer as expected, but is the size of the cells the same in weight and dimension?

So are you suggesting these Intellic cells over the GP's? Are they worth saving about $1.70 for a 7 cell pack?

I like the drop down options you added . The matched cells are a nice touch.

Last question is with your Li-Ion 2 cell for the Mini-Z. Do you have a little more info like the mah and szie of the cells together? I'm always looking for something that will be a better fit for my LST. I currently have a 2 cell kokam in there, but that required a little modifing. Not bad really, but that 2 cell Li_ion looked smaller. How stable are they? I've had 1 Li-Ion pack for a couple of years, but I heard from other guys that they had issue's with the life cycle on theirs?

Thanks for the answers

the xmod/mini-z packs are 3.6v each, 7.4v total as a pair and 750mAH each, they are the same exact size as a AA battery

I think the intellects are a great alternative to the GP's, and from reports I'm hearing they work especially well with high drain apps like brushless, they give longer runtime and more punch at those loads than GPs. I still need to do a 20amp comparison on them.

the problem with using lipo packs for receiver cells is the voltage, 2 cells is 7.4v which exceeds to max of 6v that a receiver can handle...

Thanks for the help Blind

It sounds like I may need to test out those 1200 cells. I'm looking at another 7 cell for my RC18.

Bummer those Li-Ions are only 750 mah , I was looking for something a little bigger. Thanks for the 6 V tip. I've wired in the Novak voltage regulator and have at least 6 tanks thru them. I topped off my 1500 2 cell Kokam pack, and everything runs great. I'm just searching for something thats a little smaller, but with the same or higher mah.

www.teamxray.com has just posted the full details and inside shots of the car on thier website. At first I wasnt sure what to make of this project but after I seen the insides I know for sure I definatly want one. The little motor alone is one cool piece of RC engineering. I can see that thing making it into alooot of small scale RC nitro projects. This is the way micro nitros are meant to be done.
