Battery Selection...

I recently purchased a used MRS4 chassis and used electronics from ebay. After spending about a month now cleaning and adjusting the chassis and making sure all electronics are operative, im starting to question the speed of the car. I really dont know what ot expect because I dont know anyone who owns a micro, but from what ive seen on the internet, these cars equipped with a brushless motor seem like they should do 40mph effortlessly. What should i expect? The car is quick, but not as quick as id like it to be.

Currently the chassis has a spektrum DX3r radio system, Hi-Tec micro servo, sidewinder ESC and CM-2080 brushless mamba motor, and a team losi 1300mah 2c lipo battery. Yet it doesnt seem to go faster than maybe about 25mph. Ive also made sure all the proper parts are lubed, the belt is free to move, i have a 14T pinion and stock spur. Any advice or recommendations will be very helpful, thanks.

It should be taking off, how old is the battery........have you tried a different one. Make sure that the settings of the esc are proper.

My MRS4 seemed very quick with 6cells and an Orion Big Block. Then I went to 7cells, and it was undriveable...I ended up cracking a Ratzas CF chassis. Alfred is right. You may want to check your battery, but with the lack of quality parts available in the world, I just concentrate on handling...It's an antique.
