Smile good chassis

hey everyone,
im pretty new to micros and im looking for a chassis, a good one. I see that the sleeper is a great choice, but is unavailable. Any alternatives, or better chassis? Ive also seen the Panther, but thats only 6 cell, so not good.

Any suggestions?

so you're saying the motek isn't good because it's a 6-cell?

chassis

im not saying it isn't good. Im just looking for something with a larger cell capacity. In terms of six cell, I think the motek is one of the best out there

Look at the Penguin 3500, 1 large plate on which you can layout your bats.

Ratzas extreme, has a saddle pack setup with a slight possibillity to ad 3 cells in between.

Or made one by yourself from epoxy or carbon.

Are you trying to go for speed is that why 6 cells is not enough to satisfy you. What are your plans anyway.

I would like to verify what type of micro chassis you are looking for. The RS480 is for a RS4, and the panther is for an M18.

Can you please update us?

Talking speed

although im new to 1/18, there are some nitros by a Wal-Mart where i live that have nice, organized races. They're not too fast, but the only way i can race with them (my only race location ) is by having a fast micro. I can't get a nitro, as they are simply too expensive. That's why i want nine cell.

Are there any real drawbacks to this other than chassis modification?

If you want to go cheap, get a piece of epoxy and cut out a chassis by yourself. Be creative or take an example from other chassis makers.

Use a dremel or a normal drilling machine and some other tools and you will be amazed wat can be done....

Just take a look here:

And make the maximum out of it

Or another projecr from me:

For an Xray I would suggest the Motek Racing one. Very, happy with the chassis. If you want more rthan 6 cells, maybe a Penquin? Looks like you could be creative there.

You might be surprised what a good speed 300 can do on 6 cells. Running more than 6 cells may look cool out in the street but I really doubt you will get around the track any quicker as these little cars just can't produce the traction required to "race" with that much power.

If its organized racing most wouldnt let you race a car that is not the same type.

Pat, you're right!
My son (aged 15) has a Penguin P3500 Micro RS4 with a URC K3 motor and he runs 7.2V packs.
He can stick with most 1/10th scale electrics around the track and even upset them thru the corners.
Down the long straight the 1/10ths do run away, but the K3 powered Micro makes up for it on the tighter sections much to the 1/10th scale drivers amazement.
Admittedly the driver has a lot to do with the results, but a 300 Micro is a very capable machine in the right hands
