Can't fully understand your post, so here

do a search for "drift" and find out!

Many people put electrical tape on their tires to drift, myself included.

when it taped my tires with a elite mod and 6 cells, i could drift on carpet fairly easily. sometimes the edges of the tape did get stuck on the little pieces of carpet and made it drive funny.

i put some electrical tape over my tires.. at first it was awesome-- u could drift on any surface -- but then it kinda got annoying when u tried to gain some speed for a big drift, it would always spin out -- i just took it off ~for now

Or just use the stock tires. Has anybody tried putting a layer of ca on an old set of tires? that should make them smooth for carpet...

HPI sells drift "covers" for tires... but only in Japan. It is essentially just shrink wrap over the tires, so if you can find the right shrink wrap, you're good to go!

Couldn't the CA crack though?
It also might make the tires get a 'lumpy' feel.

Hello sorry to post in this old thread. But I am facing strange problem of no proper drifting on carpets. Carpets are smooth but still I am not able to do drifting. Is there any special technique to cause carpet drifting
