Exclamation Graupner Speed 300: 6v vs. 7.2v?

Hey,

I heard a lot of good things from Graupners Speed 300 motors so I think I am going to grab one. Question is: what is the difference between the 6v motor and the 7.2v motor? Will I be better off getting the 7.2v since I am running a standard size battery(7.2v I believe) or should I get the 6v one?

6v: http://www.hobby-lobby.com/speed300.htm
7.2v: http://www.hobby-lobby.com/speed_300..._2584_prd1.htm

Thanks,

Cody

The difference is in the voltage......if you go with the 7.2volt version motor your pack will need to be more then 7.2volts to increase the speed of the motor.......i suggest getting the 6volt motor so you can use 6cells.

Well if you do plan on going with the 7.2volt motor just dont expect it to be as fast as the 6volt version. You can gear it high i guess but why.

The graupner speed 300 6v is rated at 29000 rpm. Anyone knows how it compares to a venom fireball 370?

Actually Mabuchi makes the motors, and they sell there motors to other companies which in turn slap there sticker on there and tend to sell the motor for more.
