hey wus up again, well i took the old bottom plate and cut off the body posts, and then i dremeled out the hole to make it bigger and i cut out the shock post holes so it would not interfere with the shocks. I like it because now the front of the car is a lot stiffer then before. Now when i do crash the foam bumper will really take the brunt of the crash (now the bumper can do its job instead of caving into the shock bodies)

So the concept here is to "sandwich" the front foam piece between to solid hard objects (the existing and old bottom plates) and on impact, the foam still absorbs the brunt of the impact and wont cave in as much?

yes Homer and the upper brace really works well if you have an impact. A lot of 1/10th scale onroaders have an upper brace for the front bumper. I took a hard crash today and i was in shock that the front bumper didnt cave into the shocks, works really well i say.
