I've never heard of any 5250mah cells that are that small, and nimh that can fit with 7 cells (8.4v) in that arrangement.

Has anyone come up with an idea for getting the battery pack out easier? I am thinking of grinding off one side and putting in some kind of restraint that will come out a little quicker.

Easier than unplugging three clips? Is that what you're refering to?

You could switch the mounting order of the batt's and ESC/Rx. Mount the battery pack with some velcro, tape or zip ties on the top of the tray. Then you could mount the ESC and Rx under it. It will change your CG a bit though.

If you're really desperate, i've removed the batt's by taking off only the one, rear clip. The tray will "pop-up" just enough.

the rear clip is what I have trouble with. The shock nuts dig into my fingers when I am trying to get at the clip. I will look into switching the electronics and battery I never thought of that.

What may help, if you are banging your knuckles, is the fuel line tubeing trick. The one where you make a "pull strap" with zip ties and fuel tubeing. I would just make that particular one extra long.

That should make it easier to pull out. If you leave it long enough, then you won't need to reach in and eliminate the possibility of scraping your knuckles. Good luck

Yeah I did what big-kid said with my truck.

It works good.

Still a pain to put the clip back in though!

With the stock pack I was able to get the pack out by only taking off the 2 front clips and leaving the back one in.

I was thinking about using those long body clips. That way you would at least eliminate one clip. There looks like enough room to use it on the front 2 batt post.

The single rear post should also have enough clearence to use that long clip. That would make it easier to pull out, since it will no longer be in between the shocks

I turned the shock screws around so the rounded end is facing the clip and the sharp end is out. that really helped. I made a strap with fuel line and wire ties but it broke right away.
