Cant wait to finish my build. I have a 25a hobbyking esc (out of my turnigy 1/16 buggy) and tacon brushless motor. Running it with a 2s Turnigy Nano-Tech LiPo. Have you ran yours yet? If so, hows it handle?
Just sold my Mirco Truggy not too long ago. Fun lil trucks. My only gripe was the location of the on/off switch. Ran mine in some gravel and lil rocks kept shutting the truck off
I tested out the 3s lipo on my rs4 with the 25a toro 5050kv and it's really fast. It's not getting full power to the wheels during acceleration as I can hear the rear ball diff slipping. I need to tighten it and run again. I don't have enough street to hit top end but when I let off the throttle, the car just spins out of control and slides 50feet.
Have you tried that in an M18, my guess would be that it would handle that power better.....had mine in the market for a long time but there just seems to be no takers.
I can say its like Night and Day when i first got mine.....just everything was so much better.
I was but there was no takers.....have a ton of parts to go along with it as well. I was trying to sell it as a set, M18, Recoil Pro, and M8 radio that i used for racing.
The knuckles you can run stock....they hold up to a lot of power and abuse......remember the stock M18 come with both front and rear gear diffs......as for the dogbones which are called CVD's, you will need to upgrade since there just composite plastic. Run thick gear lube for the front and rear diffs and you should be fine. You can also look at the M18 Profile Shots, alot of great pics there. I collect knives and flashlights lol.....so as a family man i dont have the time to go out racing or bashing.
This is why I want to run 2s. 3s just seems to be a lil much unless I was just doing straight line runs (where's the fun in that lol). May have to pick up a m18 as my next project when my msr4 is done.
