Yikes! Don't shave anything down! Something must be assembled wrong or misaligned!

Here a a couple of things to check:

1) Left front upright (driver's side front) should be part C1, Left rear upright (driver's side rear) should be part C2. The part number is on the inside of the arm that attaches to the steering linkage.

2) Double check bearing/bushing installation in the uprights and in the diff housing.

When I assembled mine, I had to look carefully to be sure I got parts C1 and C2 in the right locations! I even had to reinstall improperly installed ball connectors when I double checked things at this point!

Hope that helps... if not give us some more feedback/info on your problem...

Paul

Yeah, it's a little confusing...

Step 14 (pg. 10) indicates the part numbers C1 and C2 and the orientation they should be in to install the ball connectors. Step 15 shows the assembly of the uprights and the diff housing, and the only thing to indicate which side of the diff C1 & C2 go on is the illustration showing C2's steering ball connector on top... the part numbers for the uprights are not shown in Step 15!

Same can be said for the rear assembly in steps 18 & 19.

I just now noticed that they have each side labelled <<L>> and <<R>> in both diagrams, but labelling the part number would have been more helpful and intuitive!

Hope the rest of it goes together well for you! It's a blast once it's up and running!
