Well i know you're all dying to know how its been, it has now charged and been for a run up and down the road and around the house!
First impressions before the run was the servo savers seem a little weak and i couldnt get them to engage by turning the wheels! also the wheels are a little wobbly i think this is because of the hex problem to that will be sorted when the new hexes come out, i would imagine that Helger or Lost will send em out to people for free. And the sticker on the side of the shell (the big white one) had peeled off a bit but went back on nice and easy
As for the shocks i think they could do with upping the oil for bashing, it seems a bitsoft and the shocks could do with filling yourself as they are a bit squelchy, but there is VERY clear instructions on how to do it, and the shocks are fitted with a bleed screw also.
I charged up the stock Ni-Mh battery ready then was ready to rock, i gave it a few laps of my bedroom then headed outside, it's quite strange getting used to the size of it, its very wide, same height as zilla with shell on but zilla has about 0.5-1cm more ground clearance, its also over an inch longer than the zilla(same wheel base as rc18t so i found out today!
It's very speedy down the road and torquey, it's faster than the xray m18t out of the box im sure, obviously it tanks the zilla! It takes flying off curbs very well but if you turn hard on the road it does start to grip roll. luckily my fron garden was dug up by a bid digger not long ago so its all bumpy mud with a bank at one end it happily crawled over the lumps and bumps then powered its huge self out of the mud.
So that's my first impression which, despite a few minor probs(as with all new cars) is that this truck rocks! :yahoo:
Sadly this is my xmas pressie so mum now taken it off me but i know where it is and i got day off on Friday (no exams :d ) so il be getting it out
Some more pics for you
