McLaren F1's

Hehe, there are plenty of them here in the UK.
When I worked at a certain microprocessor company (the center of your digital world) I was lucky enough to get a tour of the McLaren factory in Woking.
I saw quite a few of those McLaren supercars up close, they're awesome. I love the fact that the driver sits bang in the center, like a real race car.
There are two versions for the track, one has a much longer back end with wing, obviously for downforce.

They had a documentary about them on UK TV and one owner said he took his down the M40 motorway (freeway) and he accelerated to 190mph and cruised at that speed for ten miles or so. He reckons it still had more "oomph" to offer and felt confident it could have done well over 200 mph!!!

They were made to order, so those who are fortunate to own them have something very special.

I would give anything to take a tour of that factory. Your a lucky man Mondo!. Hey, have you seen the last "new" Mclaren F1 that is on display in front of the Factory? I'ts like a local monument so ive read. AND its for sale! 1.4 million anyone?

They couldn't come to the U.S. without a huge power and emmisions conversion. There was 3 models for the road. Mclaren F1 which 64 were built. Mclaren LM which 5 were built.(my fav!) And the Mclaren GT which 3 were built due to 3 year models were raced - the 95-97 year racing campaign. And then theres the 2 racing models. The Mclaren GTR was the first racing model that they developed. It was from the year 95 to 96. Then theres the 97 Mclaren GTR which was a longtail version which was for downforce and it was the best performer. I wonder if they are ever gonna make new models.

These things go SUPER FAST! Well over 220+. The record speed limit was 241. They took off the rev limiter on the engine wich basically destroyed it.

I have loved these cars ever since I was young. They have to be the most beautiful thing on the road today. These are and still will be in the far future the best vehicles to hit the road.

I know that Leno has one, a rapper has one, some company imported and tested one and thats all I know.

I checked that website. Those beautiful cars totalled! Mclaren F1s, Nissan Skylines, F40s....just wrong!
